Y es muy sencillo, van a subir porque tienen gente que puede hacerlo.
Jimmy Rollins, que antes de entrar al campo es alegre y bromista,pero una vez en el terreno, tiene un enfoque feroz.
Chase Utley, que al hablar con el me dijo que venia de un largo periodo de recuperacion que fue largo, tedioso y muy fastidioso. Pero ya esta listo para volver a ser de los mejores.
Y eso sin contar a Halladay, su lanzador estrella y Ryan Howard, cuando esos vuelvan, los Filis van a subir con rapidez.

Bosh gives Battier or Miller the ball, they shoot a three-pointer, make it and are already back on defense, with Mario Chalmers probably making an attempt to steal your ball, getting it and scoring two more points in seconds.

That happened many times in the Play-Offs and NBA Finals this season, when the danger that was the Miami Heat, finally worked out their kinks and found a way to make their game play out and pay off.
Losing in 2011 was the best that could happen
James, now King James in all his right, said it very clearly.
"Losing the 2011 NBA Finals to Dallas was the best thing that could have happened to me. Now I am living the happiest day of my life." He was at the Press Conference of game five which turned out to be the final game of that series. He was happy, radiant and right. It was the best thing that could have happened to him, because he became more resolute, tough, resilient and hungry, and it showed.
Same with Bosh, Wade, and even the role players, like Miller and Battier, not to mention Joel Anthony, Udonis Haslem and Norris Cole. Chalmers is an important starter, he is more than a role player.
Will they do the same again?
When Miami won in 2006, the next season was a disaster. Dallas won in 2011 and 2012 was not the same. Is the appetite lost after a good meal? Yes, maybe.

Por lo menos se quedaron en el estadio y no se fueron de inmediato como el resto de la gente.
Guillén tiene razón cuando dice que deberían estar avergonzados todos:
"Estamos jugando esperando que algo salga mal". Y si uno juega asi, los resultados son los que se han visto 2 ganados y 15 perdidos en lo que va de mes.
Por una vez en la vida, la lección está muy clara:
Hay que jugar pensando que vas a ganar.

The only meeting they have not had is with the two ladies that fell asleep in the ninth inning of the game against Toronto when the Marlins allowed 6 runs. At least they stayed in the ballpark, the rest of the people left.
Guillén is right when he says they should be embarrassed:
"We are playing waiting for something bad to happen" When you play like that, you get those results 2 wins, 15 losses in June.
The lesson is very clear:
You have to play as if you were going to win every time.

Pero Mike con un saludo me responde:
"Hey mi amigo, los tres puntos están de ese lado"
Mi respuesta es:
"Déjate de eso, tú has hecho lo tuyo muchas veces."
Y es verdad.

La experiencia de Luis Tiant y mi padre en las tribunas

No tenia ganas de hablar, hasta que le dije:
Yo lo conocí a usted en Venezuela cuando lanzó para el equipo Tiburones de la Guaira porque el Caracas no lo quiso contratar. En ese juego nos dejó en cero y yo estaba en las tribunas con mi papá. Y usted nos recordó a los fanaticos con un gesto en el cuello que todavía quedaba pitcher para rato.
Entonces se sonrió y no hubo manera de pararlo de hablar.
Otro día se los cuento, pero el placer de ver a los héroes de mi niñez por estos lados es muy grato, tanto como saber que mi padre está hoy, con todo y sus 90 años, en las tribunas de este nuevo estadio de los Marlins donde yo vine a trabajar.
Y eso es tan bonito, que la joven de la taquilla me pidió que le diera un saludo muy especial.

Los juegos se pierden por muchas razones, pero es raro encontrar un manager que te diga las cosas claras y sin vueltas. Un juego se pierde porque sus jugadores no lo hicieron bien, en este caso, los pitchers, sin embargo no lo dice como crítica, sino que sabe que es parte del juego de béisbol.

Me cambiaron a Carlos Zambrano por un tipo tranquilo ¿qué es eso?

Me vine a ver a los Marlins hoy para desahogar la tristeza.

¿Qué cuál es mi tristeza?

Pues haber visto al Miami Heat caer en nuestra propia casa, con un público que se puede calificar con esa palabra tan trillada de electrizante. Pero ni eso bastó para llevarnos a una victoria.

La verdad es que para ganar tenemos que hacer acopio de algo que no estamos usando y que al otro equipo parece estarle sobrando: ganas.

Por eso me vine a ver a los Marlins.
Y pude conversar con Carlos Zambrano. La verdad que el hombre está muy cambiado, parece otro, me contó como se siente mejor.

Se me ocurrió preguntarle que sintió cuando Heath Bell perdió dos partidos que él había dejado ganando y la respuesta me sorprendió:

- Yo también he estado en esa situación - me dijo - y es bien difícil.

Me lo cambiaron. En broma le dije:

- ¿Qué es esto? Devuélvanme al Carlos Zambrano que yo conozco, el que lo rompe todo.

Y no se molestó, sino que se rió. La verdad que sí está cambiando, y espero que siga por ese camino, porque es un venezolano con mucho talento para lanzar en las Grandes Ligas y se merece este retorno que está teniendo.

Y ahora, a esperar que los Marlins me curen la lloradera que tengo por el Heat y que el Heat me quite la lloradera que tengo por el Heat.
