The Florida Panthers have something that does not let them win when the games are about to end. We were up 5-3 in the third period. Then 5-4 with 10.4 seconds left.

I was gathering my things in the press room and suddenly, there came a Yogi Berra moment.

Do you remember that phrase, supposedly very philosophical, that the game is not over till it's over? It's true.

If the ex-Yankee had been in the Panthers arena, he would have laughed a lot, reminding us all, journalists and fans who screamed in disappointment, that his philosophy is not cheap as many say.

Just 10 seconds left and the Lighting tied the game. Extra time came and the Panthers lost again.

I could not believe it, me or anyone else. I don´t know what the Panther players will have to do to win, because there is no way to stick one.

Maybe they will have to call Erick Spoelstra, the Miami Heat coach, to teach them that one thing is to score, but if you do not defend, there is no way to win.

Las Panteras de Florida deben tener algo que no las deja ganar cuando falta poco para terminar el partido. Estábamos arriba 5 - 3 en el tercer período. Luego 5 - 4 con 10.4 segundos por jugar. 

Ya yo estaba recogiendo mis cosas en la sala de prensa y de repente, llegó un momento a lo Yogi Berra.

¿Se acuerdan de aquella frase, supuestamente muy filosófica, de que el juego no se acaba hasta que se acaba? Pues es verdad.

Si el ex-jugador de los Yankees hubiera estado en el parque de las Panteras, se hubiera reído mucho recordándonos a todos, periodistas y fanáticos que gritaban de la decepción, que su filosofía no es barata como muchos dicen.

Apenas 10 segundos, y los Lighting nos empataron. Vino el tiempo extra y se repitió la cosa, las Panteras volvieron a perder.

No lo podía creer, ni yo ni nadie. Total que no sabemos qué van a tener que hacer los muchachos del equipo, porque no hay forma de que peguen una.

Será que tienen que llamar a Erick Spoelstra, el coach del Miami Heat, para que les enseñe que una cosa es anotar, pero que si usted no defiende, no hay manera de ganar.
