Definitivamente amigos, la verdad es que yo me he debido mudar para Atlanta, les digo la razón. Hace años, cuando yo estudiaba en la universidad aquí, en un pueblo mas al norte de la Florida que ahora es una ciudad de nombre Melbourne, en este estado no había equipos de Grandes Ligas salvo el ratico de los entrenamientos primaverales.

Por eso durante la temporada, yo veía una estación de televisión llamada TBS, que le pertenecía al entonces dueño de los Bravos de Atlanta, Ted Turner; allí pasaban alrededor de 150 juegos de los Bravos al año.

De tanto verlos me hice fanático del equipo, que en ese momento no era muy bueno. Sin embargo, la cosa cambió y ya ustedes saben que son el único equipo de Grandes Ligas que ha ganado 14 campeonatos de división seguidos, aunque una sola serie mundial en ese lapso, la de 1995.

Pero uno disfrutaba con las victorias y con esas estrellas del pitcheo que fueron Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine y John Smoltz  . Y no los cambiaron ni los vendieron sino hasta que ya no podían mas.

El asunto es que después me mude a Miami, llegaron los equipos de Grandes Ligas a esta ciudad y a Tampa y pues, me paso lo que suele suceder. Vivo aquí, y me fui encariñando con el equipo local.

Tremendo error. Porque el dueño anterior del equipo, John Henry, ganó un campeonato, pero como no le pagaron un estadio, pues el hombre desmanteló al equipo primero y lo vendió después.

Y llega y se lo vende al caballero que dejo a Montreal sin béisbol, nada mas y nada menos que a Jeffrey Loria, que se vino para acá con su hombre de confianza, el mismo que lo ayudo a destrozar a los Expos, David Samson.

Estos señores ganan un campeonato en el 2003, consiguen una de las mayores estrellas del Béisbol en Miguel Cabrera y lo mandan a Detroit después de usar sus años baratos. Uno de los mejores jugadores de los últimos años y lo mandan para otro equipo para no pagarle su valor.

Decían ellos que todo se debía a no tener un estadio propio y que una estructura como esa era muy costosa, pero que si los idiotas como usted y como yo, es decir los contribuyentes, le pagábamos el estadio, el iba a conservar los jugadores y a invertir mas. Y me perdonan lo de idiotas pero eso es lo que parecemos luego del strike que nos paso.

Bueno, allí tienen ustedes los resultados. Le hicimos el estadio y ahora, después de una mala temporada que en definitiva es culpa de el y su gente por no contratar a los hombres correctos, el sujeto que prometió que no se iban a ir los jugadores, no encuentra manera de salir de ellos con la velocidad que desea y seguir engañando al publico.

Ahora anda conversando on Texas para salir de Ricky Nolasco y Giancarlo Mike Stanton, y ¿adivinen a cambio de que? Pues claro que una serie de ilustres prospectos desconocidos.

La verdad que les digo una cosa, estoy regalando un dueño y solo pido a cambio una sirenita, ¿qué me dicen?

I'd rather be a fan of the Braves

Definitely friends, the truth is that I should move to Atlanta, I’ll tell you why: Years ago when I attended college here, in a town further north which is now a city called Melbourne save for Spring Training, we had no Major League teams in this state.

I got to see so much f the team that I became a fan, but at that time they were not very good. However, things changed and as you know they are the only major league team that has won 14 consecutive division championships, but only one World Series in that span, in 1995.

But you enjoyed victories and with those pitching stars that were Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz. And they were not changed nor sold until they were well spent.

The issue is that I moved to Miami, we got two major league teams, on in our this city and one in Tampa and then you know how it is, I live here, I got to like the team little by little until I became a fan.

Terrible mistake. Because the team's former owner, John Henry, won a championship, but since he did not get a stadium, he dismantled and sold it later on.

And he comes and sells it to the gentleman that left Montreal without baseball, nothing more and nothing less than Jeffrey Loria, who came here with his man, the same who helped destroy the Expos, David Samson.

Now he's talking about trading Ricky Nolasco and Giancarlo Mike Stanton to Texas, and guess what we will get in exchange? Of course, you nailed it, only a number of illustrious unknown prospects.
